-
Ambient quieter (sound.ts): AMBIENT_GAIN 0.10 -> 0.04. The MP3 is
mastered hot at the source; 0.04 puts it back into the "you only
notice when it stops" range next to nav tones at ~0.05. -
Visible focus ring on gamepad nav (style.css + ShellSettingsPage
- GameDrawer). v0.10.1 used *:focus-visible, but WebView2 doesn't
match that pseudo-class on programmatic .focus() calls — which is
exactly what our d-pad walk does. Switched to an explicit
data-gs-focused="true" attribute that the focus-management code
sets on the active element; CSS keys off both :focus-visible
(keyboard Tab) AND that attribute (gamepad), drawing the same
2 px accent + soft glow either way. Buttons also get a 1 px Y
lift so motion + glow read as one cue.

Shell-mode update no longer dumps the user to Explorer (app.go
RestartApp). The v0.8.3 detached-cmd dance is fine in normal
desktop mode but in shell mode the watchdog's superviseLoop sees
our clean exit-0 and treats it as "user wants out — launch
Explorer" by design. Fix: when GS_SHELL_MODE=1 we just os.Exit(42)
directly. The watchdog re-spawns us automatically (non-zero exit
= "crashed, restart"), the on-disk binary was already swapped by
minio/selfupdate, so the next supervised run is the new build.
Crash-rate-limit irrelevant (1 restart in 30s, the limit is 5). -
Backups overlay uses the same full-screen translucent shape as
PowerMenu / DevicesMenu / BluetoothPicker now
(frontend/src/components/shell/ShellBackupsView.tsx). The v0.10.x
centered stuck out as the one shell surface
with a card-style chrome. ShellBackupsView is a real list of
focusable row buttons, with d-pad / RS / A / B bindings (A opens
the archive in its folder); rows show the same Game / When /
Trigger / Files / Size / Archive columns as the desktop
(which keeps its normal-mode shape).
