    Durable FSM: a restart no longer rewinds the database to an old snapshot and
    replays days of history over it (the ghost host row after a machine moves), and
    a transient apply failure is retried instead of silently dropping a replicated
    write (the node that kept a host row its peers had deleted).

    Host deletes remove the row first and sweep the history after; orphaned metric
    rows are collected by retention. A moved machine's corrected IPv4 now reaches
    the stack .env and the running process, and a pin the machine no longer holds is
    ignored in favour of the detected address.
